Stay hungry, Stay foolish!

Sometimes in life, there are choices we make to determine who we are. The Steve Jobs commencement article was just another example of his personal life decision to make the choices he made to fulfill his destiny.
Through my own personal life experiences, I can relate to this man in some ways. I've had my share of life and death situations, with husband and youngest daughter, and maybe my own. Financial troubles, too!
And finally, God gave us a happy marriage and family! Thank you, God!

I did make the choice to be responsible, to live a life of honesty, integrity and being the good wife, mother and daughter. But I also consider myself, partly conservative in some ways and partly adventurous!
Otherwise I would not be who I am today.

When I put up the saying 'Stay hungry and stay foolish' is something I feel I could only do maybe 65%?

Stay hungry!

I am hungry all the time! Hungry for what? For strength, for justice, for success to go to the right people, for volunteers to be recognised and given the respect they deserve, the elderly to have value in our society instead of just waiting to die after reitrement, for children to have the confidence in themselves and to have a voice! and much much more!

Stay foolish?

What it means to me, is to do things which people might think I am foolish to even try to pursue, like being a teacher of singing pop music. For marrying someone right when I was at the height of my career. For not being the 'Artist', that people think I should be, for making the choice to marry again and not have a house that we own!!! For taking the kids out of school and teaching them their parents' life skills and for coming back to HK to teach and perform where good music is non existent.
I am glad I am foolish! =)

Everyone has a right to live the life they want to live. But for me, I am thankful and grateful I got this far! With the support of my husband and three daughters!

Forever grateful,
Teresa
